Daily Care & Maintenance
When it comes to laminate care, we recommend consulting your manufacturer with major questions, comments, or concerns. With that said, here are some best practices to follow:
- Sweep or dust your laminate floors on a regular basis to help remove dirt, dust, and other debris that can harm your laminate floors. Said debris can scratch and scrape your floors, causing unnecessary damage and wear.
- Never wash or wet mop the floor with soap or water. This could warp your laminate and cause damage to the subflooring.
Dealing With Laminate Spills & Stains
For laminate floors, spills and stains are not cause for concern. Use a cloth to wipe up the mess when a spill occurs immediately. It's that simple! For tough spots, consult your manufacturer on best practices for maintaining your hardwood. For tough stains, you may want to use a store-bought cleaner. But again, consult your manufacturer before using anything unknown.
